The article substantiates the need for the organization of environmental management in agricultural production. Considered essential-substantial characteristic of environmental management. Attention is paid to the fact that this system consists of an economic and environmental subsystem. The key advantages of the organization of the environmental management system are named. On the basis of the conducted research the practical recommendations are formulated, in particular the organizational structure of the given system is developed, it is offered to develop ecological strategy of the enterprise of agricultural production, introduction of ecological controlling.
