the problems of commercialization of the results of intellectual activity have existed for the last few decades and are typical not only for the Russian Federation, but also for the rest of the world, actively using and implementing intellectual property in all spheres of public relations. Some problems can be gradually solved, while others remain unsolvable. In particular, we are talking about the problems associated with the valuation of rights to the results of intellectual activity, without which it is impossible to introduce the results of intellectual activity for the purpose of their commercialization. In this article the author discusses the problems associated with the valuation of rights to results of intellectual activities in the countries of the European Union, which has extensive experience in commercialization of innovation, and concludes that the example of the European Union countries will allow if not to improve the legislation of the Russian Federation assessment, to develop appropriate mechanisms to carry out an objective assessment of the cost of rights to results of intellectual activities in their commercialization.
