Formation of the cost of forest on the root in modern conditions

Formation of the value of standing forests is one of the key objectives of increasing the profitability of forestry, rational forest management and effective development of the forest sector of the economy. Nowadays in Russia there is a situation when the receipts from payments for the use of forest resources to the budget of the state that owns the forest do not cover the costs of forest management. The article describes the experience of establishing the root value of wood in Finland, which can be the basis for the formation of a system of payments for standing timber in Russia on the basis of a rental approach by creating an effective economic mechanism for determining the rates of payment for forest use, reflecting the market price of forest resources.
