The tourist services of a physical-health-improving orientation are considered by the authors as one of the factors improving the socio-economic development of the territory. The article analyzes the urgent problems of providing tourist services of a physical-health-improving orientation, develops the author’s definition and classification of this type of service, identifies and characterizes the prospects for their development in the context of sustainable development of St. Petersburg, as well as presents recommendations aimed at improving the process of forming tours that include services sports and fitness orientation.
