On the issue of creating a children’s «advocacy» as a way to protect children’s rights in Russia

The article is devoted to the creation of a competent, professional Institute for the protection of children's rights with the help of specialized children's advocacy and the implementation of this initiative. The work contains real proposals for the creation and operation of a special effective mechanism in the Russian Federation represented by the "children's" advocacy. The authors of the article make serious arguments in favor of the need for this mechanism to protect the rights and interests of children. Based on the analysis of works devoted to this problem, it is proposed to give lawyers representing children certain powers to provide qualified legal assistance. The paper also contains proposals for specialized training of lawyers to work with minors and examines the issue of financing "children's" lawyers.
