Theoretical provisions of risk research of chemical industry companies

The article discusses the theoretical aspects of understanding risks and opportunities as their dichotomy in the activities of chemical companies. Various approaches to understanding risk are studied and accumulated, modern approaches are highlighted; the industry specificity of understanding the risks in the chemical industry is analyzed. The author considers the main approaches to the classification of risks, including sectoral ones, on the basis of which the author's classification of risks and opportunities of chemical companies is proposed, taking into account sectoral and corporate aspects.
