Risks of foreign economic activity in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic

The relevance of the study of risks arising from the implementation of foreign economic activities by Russian enterprises is due to the fact that in modern conditions, one of the most important conditions for economic growth of the country is the development of foreign economic relations. The increase in the volume of foreign economic operations causes an increase in employment in various economic sectors, an increase in tax and customs revenues to budgets, the development of industries related to foreign economic activity, and the country's economy as a whole. For companies engaged in foreign economic activity, this, in turn, allows you to develop and expand your business, increase your competitiveness in the global and domestic markets. However, all the risks of doing business are multiplied in the implementation of foreign economic operations, which is due to the presence of many additional external factors related to the economic and political situation, customs and tax policies of other countries, as well as the global economic, social and political situation. The article considers the types of risks associated with foreign economic activity, and gives their generalized classification. The focus is on the risks of foreign economic activity, the increase of which was provoked by the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, which spread to almost all countries of the world at the beginning of 2020.
