The problem of retail trade market development in the context of the growing coronavirus pandemic in the Russian Federation is more relevant than ever.
The purpose of this work is to study the impact of environmental risks on the effectiveness of business activities on the example of the domestic retail market, its adaptation and the search for new areas of work in a crisis.
The author conducted a statistical analysis of the indicators of the development of the national economy of the Russian Federation, which allowed us to draw a number of conclusions about the impact of the pandemic on the development of retail trade enterprises. The analysis of recent studies of the impact of the current economic crisis on the efficiency of business in the retail sector (retail sales) suggests that a more detailed study of the following elements of the business model of retail enterprises is required: customer relations, delivery of goods, interaction with business partners.
In modern conditions, it has become necessary to weigh actions to adapt the work of the retail trade enterprise in order to ensure the transition from the crisis to the new reality and effective functioning in the market.
