Development of electronic fare payment systems in public urban passenger transport

The article discusses the features of the development of electronic fare payment systems in public urban passenger transport. Special attention is paid to the goals and objectives of such systems, the stages of their implementation. Also, in the process of research, the benefits from the introduction of electronic fare collection systems were formalized in the context of the main participants. In addition, the article describes the possibilities and limitations of the currently existing fare collection systems in public urban passenger transport.
