Family problems in the system of long-term care for elderly and senile people

The article examines the content components of long-term care for the elderly and senile people, identifies the specifics of problems in families where this care is provided. The relevance of this study is confirmed by the fact that the percentage of the elderly population in our country is increasing and one of the priorities of the state is the implementation of long-term care for the elderly while maintaining the most comfortable living conditions, providing the necessary services and treatment. The empirical part of the article is presented by comparing the experience of long-term care for the elderly in various regions of the Russian Federation and abroad, as well as solving problems in families where long-term care for the elderly and elderly is carried out. The practical part of the article reflects the experience of working within the framework of the Federal project "Active Longevity" on the example of social service institutions of non-stationary and semi-stationary types in one of the pilot regions of the Volgograd region. The experience of the work of state institutions is studied and statistical data on this issue in the whole region are analyzed.
