Expanding the economic and institutional capacity of the agrarian sector from the point of view of development of self-employment

The article examines the formation and development of employment in the agricultural sector. The place and role of self-employment in the labor market of rural areas, the factors that determine the economic foundations of its development are explained. It is shown that the rates and proportions of the development of self-employment in the agricultural sector are determined by the peculiarities of the business environment, which mobilizes land, water, material, financial and information resources. Along with economic factors, institutional development factors play a decisive role in shaping the characteristics of the business environment in this sector, the influence of which on the development of self-employment is manifested in the formation of demand for products and services. Institutional factors contributing to the development of self-employment are classified within the article. The article identifies practical opportunities for expanding the economic and institutional development of self-employment in rural areas.
