The 21st century was marked by the rapid pace of development of the digital economy; Information technologies are being introduced and actively used everywhere. In this regard, the issue of the optimal and effective application of copyright law in order to protect authors on the Internet is being updated. The article draws attention to the content of copyright, which must be protected without fail both in the real world and in the digital environment.
