Military service and contract service as the basis for manning the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

the article presents a comparative legal analysis of two historically established ways of recruiting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is noted that their combination in the process of application, the determination of the dominant technology for the formation of the personnel of the army and Navy are influenced by various foreign policy, domestic, including economic factors. The characteristic of the modern dual model of manning of the Russian armed forces with priority on the contract system is given. The question of the effectiveness of further preservation of conscription service is raised, various opinions of statesmen, representatives of legal and economic sciences on this problem are given. The author's point of view on the topic of scientific research is formulated.
