In the article, the author discusses topical issues related to the use of the results of operational-search activities in the process of criminal proceedings. Relevance. In modern conditions, the key task is the formation in Russia of an effective mechanism of criminal justice. In this regard, operational-search activity is a very significant tool in combating crime. Supervision and control over the use of the results of operational-search activities are integral elements of this mechanism. In the current conditions of the development of criminal justice, a key role is given to the problem of using the results of operational-search activities, their usefulness is noted both in legal and social aspects. The problems revealed in the course of the analysis are quite extensive: from the formulation of definitions of concepts to an exhaustive description of the functional. The relevance of the topic is evidenced by the fact that the use of the results of operational-search activities in the framework of criminal proceedings is accompanied by a significant resonance both from the toric positions and from the standpoint of practice. It is important to emphasize that this is not an accident, since the operational-search activity itself is very significant and necessary in the course of identifying and disclosing criminal acts, being a fundamental institution focused on combating crime. Purpose: to study modern ideas about the features of using the results of operational-search activities in criminal proceedings. Tasks: to consider issues related to the definition of the concept of the results of operational-search activities, their functionality; characterize the requirements for the admissibility of information (results of operational-search activities) as an evidence base; formulate recommendations on promising areas of research on the topic of the article. Methodology. When writing the article, the author used the methods of comparison, legal analysis, analysis of scientific publications. The method of system-logical analysis was also used.
