Research of competitiveness and complementarity of the Chinese-Russian agricultural trade

The article examines the relations between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China in the field of cooperation on import-export of agricultural products. The main nomrative-legal and diplomatic documents that reflect the mutual desire not only to maintain and maintain established partnerships, but also to increase import-export relations in the agro-industrial sphere are considered. An important focus of consideration of the problem of competitiveness and complementarity of the Sino-Russian trade in agricultural products in the article is the sanctions policy of the foreign policy of individual states. The author provides a historical digression about economic sanctions and their consequences both for the country against which the sanctions are directed and for the world trade market. The formation and development, according to the author, was influenced by a number of prerequisites and facts on the world market of agricultural trade: the control of the United States and China, the strengthening of partnership ties between Russia and China, joint investments in partnerships in the field of agricultural products of Russia and China, the COVID-19 pandemic. The prospects and future trends of competitiveness and complementarity of the Chinese-Russian agricultural trade are also summarized.
