Appellate courts of general jurisdiction, practical implementation of the judicial procedural reform of 2019

The article analyzes the practical application of the reformed norms of the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation by the courts of the appellate instance of general jurisdiction. The legislation regarding significant changes in the activities of individual courts of appeal is considered. The assessment of shortcomings and improvements based on the results of the reform in the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms is described, whether improvements have been made for the independence of courts from regional authorities.
