This paper examines Article 316 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Concealment of crimes", taking into account the changes made to it in 2022. A brief review of the transformation of Article 316 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation allowed us to identify some of its shortcomings, the elimination of which will increase the effectiveness of the criminal legal means of countering the previously promised concealment of a crime and strengthen its preventive potential.
