The role of modern companies to produce and sell innovative products in the new reality

The relevance of the research is due to the fact that innovation in modern conditions is an objective necessity for the stability of economic development. In the conditions of severe sanctions and restrictions on imports from unfriendly countries, activation of domestic conditions for the development of innovation in all sectoral directions, determines the prospects for economic growth, both at the level of the federal center, and at the level of the subjects of the Russian Federation. In this regard, this article aims to identify the specifics of innovation. The article reveals current global trends associated with the development of innovation and forms methodological approaches to their implementation. It is noted that each individual industry forms its own segment of innovative reality. The volume of innovative products in each individual industry should be the basic criterion that determines the effectiveness of innovation policy. The leading approach to the study of this problem is the synthesis of applied research and scientific substantiation of the criteria of innovativeness as a phenomenon of modern reality, allowing a comprehensive view of the specifics and trends of innovative development. The article presents scientific approaches to assessment of the very concept of "innovation", reveals mechanisms of innovations implementation in the context of world experience, reveals problems that determine the infrastructure of innovative development of the state, substantiates conditions of criterial assessment of innovation, based on the forming conditions of the industry in which they are implemented. Materials of the article are of practical value for practical justification and assessment of the level of innovativeness in applied research in this direction.
