The paper reveals the peculiarities of protecting the rights and freedom interests of this category of suspects in pre-trial proceedings. At the beginning of the study, the author talks about the potential causes of juvenile offenses, their consequences, as well as determining the special legal status of juvenile suspects. The purpose of the work is to identify the specifics of the legal status of minors suspected of committing such illegal actions as misdemeanors and crimes. The object is the commission of offenses, and the subject is the legal status of minors suspected of committing offenses. In the course of the work, the author so studies the especial qualities of the legal regulation of it’s issue, as well as the peculiarities of legal practice
