ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE RUSSIAN MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

The defense industry in Russia has been a key sector for the development of high-tech enterprises, with a focus on producing advanced weapons and military equipment. To stay competitive in the global market, these enterprises must embrace new technologies and adapt to changing market trends. One area of rapid technological advancement is artificial intelligence (AI), which has numerous applications in the defense industry. However, the development and implementation of AI technologies in this sector can be challenging due to the sensitive nature of military operations and the potential for dual-use goods. This paper explores how technologies and dual-use goods can be used as a tool for the development of high-tech enterprises in the defense industry of Russia, with a focus on the potential of AI. Through an analysis of relevant literature and case studies, the paper highlights the benefits and challenges of adopting AI technologies in this sector, and offers recommendations for how enterprises can overcome these challenges to leverage the potential of AI for their development.
