The problem of studying the use of free time by young people is relevant. A young person's free time should serve not just to restore lost strength, but also for spiritual, cultural, creative and physical development. The contradiction is that currently in cities there are different forms of organized leisure for young people in the form of different thematic events: festivals, sports competitions, concerts, entertainment, etc. But young people are not actively involved in such forms of spending their free time. The data of this pilot study showed that the student youth, for the most part, is in the field of inactive, home, unorganized leisure with involvement in digital technologies and the Internet space. The novelty is due to the insufficient study of the content of free time of students in the Primorsky Territory both in the previous period and in 2022-2023. The empirical material was subjected to the primary analysis, obtained during a continuous survey of students in Vladivostok in 2022-2023. The results of the study showed that the leisure time of the surveyed students is mostly unorganized. A minority of respondents are involved in organized types of free time. The vast majority of the free time of the surveyed students is devoted to hobbies related to computer, information space, for example, various social networks or computer games.
