In the framework of this article, the factors determining the importance of transport in ensuring the sustainable development of regions are investigated. Changing the guidelines of the traditional urban transport policy to ensure accessibility made it possible to talk about the need to modernize the urban passenger transport network through cooperation in a single space of all types of passenger transport to obtain a synergistic effect.
