The purpose of this article is to identify incorrect professional self-determination of young people in the context of labor market requirements. Such methods as classification, comparative analysis, analysis of scientific literature, survey, description are used as research methods. The key conclusions are that the professional self-determination of young people should be formed not during their studies at a higher or secondary vocational educational institution, but at school age.
