The article reveals an actual problem of the transformation of digital trust in the Russian Federation in the context of digitalization of the economic and social spheres of life.
The research goal is to identify the impact of cultural, institutional and technological factors on the formation of digital trust with the subsequent analysis of changes in the structure of social capital in virtual interactions.
The research objectives were to analyze the conceptual foundations and essence of the concept of «digital trust»; to identify its key elements (protection of personal data, transparency of interactions and state regulation); to consider explanatory models of trust, as well as to analyze the consequences of the transformation of digital trust for society.
The research methodology is based on a systematic approach and includes the descriptive method, the formal-logical method, the method of scientific generalization and systematization. Based on the results, the author concluded that, in order to maintain and strengthen digital trust, it is important to ensure the inclusiveness, transparency and security of digital services, which will create a more efficient and equitable digital society in which every citizen can fully participate.
