The purpose of the article is to identify the problems of ensuring economic security of the individual in the context of forming a digital economy and to find ways to solve them. Digitalization, on the one hand, gives rise to various challenges and threats, and on the other hand, creates new opportunities for ensuring economic security of the individual. Economic security is the basic need for life support and resilience of the individual. The article defines the concept of "economic security of the individual", reveals the principles, risks, threats and presents recommendations for its provision.
