THE INFLUENCE OF QUALITY AND SAFETY INDICATORS ON THE VALUATION OF COMMEMORATIVE COINS

Commodity expertise is of great importance for determining the market value of cultural property, since customs and other government agencies have tightened control over the export of cultural property in order to preserve it on the territory of the Russian Federation. As a result, the legal export of cultural property without the permission of the Ministry of Culture has become impossible. According to the results of the commodity expert examination to determine the market value, penalties are provided for those who illegally move goods of this category. Illegal export of cultural heritage from the territory of the Russian Federation by persons is an administratively and criminally punishable act, but the amount of punishment depends on the value of cultural property. This article reflects the process of determining the market value of coins as cultural values. The purpose of the study was to study the practical aspects of estimating the value of antique coins, taking into account the features that affect the final price of the goods. During the study, the main price-forming factors of antique coins were analyzed: a comparative method for determining the market value was used to estimate the value of a 50 kopeck coin issued in 1896. When assessing the value of the coins under study, characteristics affecting the market value of coins were taken into account, such as the safety of coins, the materials used in their manufacture, the volume of coins in circulation, the director of the mint or the mint that issued the monetary unit, etc. The results of the study showed that the use of a comparative method that takes into account the subjective factors inherent in ancient coins is objective and reliable in determining the market value of this type of cultural property.
