The relevance of the topic is due to the global processes of digital transformation that affect all aspects of modern society, including governance at the municipal level. The introduction of digital technologies involves a number of features and problems specific to the Russian Federation, which makes this topic particularly important to study. The novelty of the study lies in the need for a comprehensive analysis of the current state of digitalizing municipal administration in the context of modern challenges and tasks of state development. The author highlights the main features and problems. Among the key features, she highlights dependence on government strategy, regional differentiation and the active use of platform solutions, as well as problems such as lack of funding, staff shortage, imperfection of the regulatory framework and low level of public confidence.
