THE CURRENT STATE OF THE ALCOHOL INDUSTRY IN RUSSIA

The article examines the current state of the alcohol industry in Russia, identifies the causes and consequences of positive and negative trends, and the problems of industry development. Among the positive trends in the development of the alcohol industry in Russia, it was noted: an increase in demand for alcoholic beverages, significant development of winemaking, an increase in production and the share of domestic wine in the market as a result of reduced imports under sanctions, active modernization of production and the introduction of new technologies in the alcohol industry to improve product quality. The process of digitalization of alcohol industry enterprises in Russia and its impact on improving business efficiency are considered in more detail. Among the negative trends noted are: government policy towards the alcohol industry, a change in consumer preferences towards an increase in the consumption of low-alcohol beverages, the problem of illegal production and trade in alcohol, and the problem of the sale of products by alcohol industry enterprises in Russia operating for export. Based on the results of the study, the directions of solving the problem of marketing products of the alcohol industry in Russia through the development of exports to China, India and Thailand are proposed. The main current trends of cooperation, problems and ways to solve them are considered. It was concluded that the Russian alcohol industry, despite some problems, is a dynamic industry and has great prospects on the international market.
