ASPECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF POPULAR SCIENCE TOURISM ON THE EXAMPLE OF INDIVIDUAL RUSSIAN REGIONS

Our country has a huge scientific, educational and tourism potential, therefore, in addition to the already intensively implemented programs and projects, it is necessary to actively develop popular science tourism, whose services are especially in demand among the youth audience, as it allows them to decide on a future profession and join science as an important area of public life. Each route within the framework of popular science tourism should be worked out in detail and designed to become a real scientific adventure: tourists visit and explore unique scientific sites that have so far been closed to the public. Thanks to popular science tourism, some universities have opened their laboratories, museums, and research centers to tourists. The authors noted that popular science tourism is of great image importance for the regions of the country, it is necessary to strengthen work on the development of a documentation base and regulations at the level of individual subjects, to work out programs for the promotion of services in this area of tourism. The regional aspects of the development of popular science tourism in individual tourist destinations have not been sufficiently studied, while the achievements of Russian science are of interest to many Russians, especially school and youth audiences, so studying the aspects of the development of popular science tourism in the regions of our country is relevant.
