INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF UNIVERSITIES IN THE REGIONAL ECONOMIC SYSTEM: MODEL OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT

The article is devoted to the study of the potential of innovative development of higher education institutions in the regional economic system in the context of the conceptual model of the “triple helix”. The necessity of the transition of higher education institutions to the use of this model as a tool for the formation of interaction between science, business and the state is substantiated. The author's point of view on the constituent elements and interrelations of the participants of the conceptual model is proposed. The study analyzes the evolutionary models of university functioning from "University 1.0" to "University 4.0.", reveals the characteristic features of higher education institutions at each stage of evolutionary development. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for higher education institutions to create partnerships with business and the state to increase their level of innovative development.
