ON THE ROLE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY INSTITUTIONS

This article analyzes some of the characteristics of modern public relations practices. Particular attention is paid to the role that effective public relations play in the activities of government agencies and organizations of various types. This, in particular, determines the potential of these practices to facilitate the development of civil society institutions. As a result it is possible to rethink approaches to public relations, driven by the transformation of their functions.
