The author considered the directions of using information technologies for analyzing data on road traffic accidents, which allow to identify factors affecting the accident rate and the severity of consequences. The article analyzes the functionality of automated information systems of the State Traffic Inspectorate in analytical activities and their effective use to support and make optimal and sound management decisions in order to reduce the accident rate.
