Evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of aminoglycoside antibiotics in the treatment of caries

The search for new effective methods of prevention and treatment of inflammatory periodontal tissues is an urgent problem of modern dentistry, since periodontal tissue diseases are one of the most common among children and adults. It is shown that the prevalence of periodontal tissue diseases among people aged 16-23 years is on average 70-80%, reaching 95-98% in some regions. The main pathogenetic factors of the formation of the associated course of dental caries and gingivitis and pathogenetically significant risk factors that need correction were studied for the first time on the developed experimental models. Based on the analysis of the results of experimental studies, the use of means in therapeutic and preventive complexes that ensure the restoration of colonization resistance of the oral cavity and correction of calcium metabolism disorders is justified for the first time. For the first time, the main mechanisms of formation and features of clinical manifestations of the associated course of dental caries and chronic catarrhal gingivitis in college-age children have been studied. For the first time, the genetic determinants of the development of dental caries and chronic catarrhal gingivitis in mono - and associated course and their relationship with the phenotypic clinical manifestations of caries and periodontal tissue diseases have been established.
