For the numerical implementation of a kinematic model that describes excess residual pore pressures under long-term loading of water-saturated soil, the finite element method is used. According to the method, a generalized stiffness matrix was constructed that corresponds to excess residual pore pressures.

Keywords:Lame type equations, kinematic model of soil, water-saturated foundation, adapted finite element method, generalized stiffness matrix
