The stages of development of the Russian microfinance market and its future prospects

The article describes stages of formation of the Russian microfinance market, performs analysis of the dynamics of the market in terms of number of the officially registered credit institutions and total volume of microloans issued to the public. Microfinance market structure characteristics performed by category of MFIs organizations, the volume of issued micro-loans and medium-sized amounts of lending for each category. As a result of the analysis assesses the prospects for further development of the Russian MFI market.
