Title: The H. Marcuse Philosophy as a Theoretical Approach to the Institutional Aspects of Violance

Bocharova Viktoriya Viktorovna  (Yelets state University named after I.A.Bunin)

The article deals with the H. Marcuse theoretical legacy in regard to the institutional forms of violence in the industrialized world. The author concludes that apart from certain valuable findings there are also a number of contradictions on the phenomena of progress and violence in the H. Marcuse thought. Still they offer a certain impetus to gaining new insights as far as violence is concerned.
