"Walls and Bridges" in history of development of psychological science in XIX century: discussion between N.G. Chernyshevsky and P.D. Yurkevich

This paper considers the scientific discussion between philosophers N.G. Chernyshevsky (1828-1889) and P.D. Yurkevich (1827-1874) relating to the foundations of psychological research and knowledge. There are central problems of psychology inside discussions of the XIX century: subject, methods, objectives of psychology, psychophysiological problem, the ratio of physiological and psychic phenomena in human, etc. The author used a metaphorical approach to the methodology of science, contained in the works of V.A. Mazilov, for analysis of the views of scientists.
