The folk art of the peoples of southern Siberia: tradition and modernity

The similarities and differences in the local culture of kindred peoples enable to project the conclusions derived from the study of one ethnic group, cultural traditions of other people. In the ethnographic materials related to the peoples contained facts that confirm and clarify the reliability of the findings. In fact, the typical features of traditional indigenous culture are manifested in the character of farming and rural life, and the form and method of realization are transformed into ethnic. Nomadic herding, hunting, and agriculture Turkic peoples of southern Siberia, became the basis for traditional folk art. National characteristics of traditional art of the people is manifested, mainly, in the national ornament, which is the most stable element of culture. National identity in the folk ornament revealed through the plasticity and rhythm of its elements, through the character of the filling structure of the ornament shapes, using a harmonious sense of color
