The interaction of communicators within an integrative model of cultural fluency

In modern changing global multilingual space, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of the individual intercultural competence. Using the development of the leading scientists in the study of intercultural communication through a comparative analysis, the author analyzes integrative model of intercultural competence at the level of individual communicators, that is, actors and coactors of intercultural communication. As components of the study he discusses motivation, communication knowledge, and communication skills. It is concluded that the more motivated, knowledgeable, skillful in terms of skills are the communicators, the more competent they are from the point of view of intercultural communication.
