Cultural dialogue between the West and East as a factor in the development of artistic thought in the 19th century

This article is devoted to one of the most complicated issues related to the philosophy of culture, namely, the theory and history of the dialogue between the cultures of the East and the West. This research is conducted on the basis of intercultural dialogue of the West and Europe of the 19th century, the influence of the Japanese artistic tradition on the European one is traced. Also in this paper, we show the influence of ongoing industrialization on Western countries in general and on artistic thought in particular. So rapidly growing industrialization, led to the transformation of art into a commodity, into another object of sale and purchase. In this world of technological progress, a person felt not only the detachment from nature of the component that was always with him, but also the unessential nature of his existence. The world became mechanized and the man again had to determine his place in it. This period of time is characterized by a focus on the gradual emergence of art as a new type of commodity for sale. Artistic thought was overthrown from the realm of values to the level of commodity values, all this led to a spiritual fading and incoherence of art. This time the extinction of the sensual" period» followed by the revival of spiritual values, through a dialogue of cultures of the West and the East.
