Axiology of the modern Russian educational space

The article deals with the normative component in the contemporary Russian educational space. Given the analysis of the dynamics of ideas about the content of values and their role in education as it proclaimed in key federal education documents since 1991, the author concludes that the axiological aspect was insignificant. In addition, the values that were declared in these documents were of a clearly pronounced universal character, while the national value component was practically ignored. The article concludes that in the course of further reforms in the field of education, it is necessary to pay attention to this fact, given that education is the most important mechanism for the formation of individuality, its spiritual and moral values and ideals.
