The aim of the work was the need to expand the existing knowledge about the specifics of contemporary Russian art, designing his view on the painting of artists M. Golubev, K. Lupanov, V. Shulzhenka, S. Plutenk, M. Safronova, N. Blokhin, D. Annenkov, O. Dow, A. Chernigin, S. Marshennikov, J. Popkov. From the point of view of the theory of art, the author of the article makes a fragmentary emphasis on the relationship between the concepts "contemporary art" and "Russian art".
