Historical and cultural lessons of the not taken place visit of Peter I to Venice for contemporary Russian - Italian communication

From the cultural perspective the research of the historic events, that could have taken place, is of great interest for those who would like to establish the contemporary cross-cultural international communications and for the development of the scientific analysis. We vividly see the imprints of the Italian civilization’s on the formation and development of the Russian national culture, technology and architecture. Such retrospective analysis might spark an interest among the readers through studying the personality of Peter The Great, who, in our common opinion, opened the way to Europe for Russia. The article illustrates the paths the Russians and the Italians took in the history of politics, of new technologies and art and gives an attentive reader the key to the knowledge of how to build his/her communication bridges in the contemporary international and cross-cultural interaction. The process of cultural, scientific and technical exchanges is the communication that allows its parties to educate students and found scientific and art schools. Their new cultural environment is always enriched, and the process of further communication goes through a new modified environment. Current communication process between the Russians and the Italians should lead to mutual benefits.
