The article presents a socio-demographic analysis of young males serving sentences in penal colonies, as well as an analysis of the study of their personality in the study of domestic authors. Identified socio-psychological characteristics of male youth of age serving sentences in correctional colonies, with the goal of developing a program of examination and justification of psycho-diagnostic tools for the study of socio-psychological maturity of the youth convicted of the age of the male at different stages of punishment.
