Social and psychological problems of interaction in blended families as special family structure

In the article there are systematized the most widespread triggers, promot-ing appearance of contradictions in relationship of members of blended family. The concept of blended family is specified. It is shown that in blended families, in comparison with biological, relationship of partici-pants proceeds in more complicated, conflict way. The conclusion is drawn that the following directions could be considered as the reserves for psychological correction and prevention of the arising problems in rela-tionship in blended families: maintenance of openness and permeability of borders of interaction; gradual and continuous strengthening of the au-thority of the stepfather or mother; creation of the clear boundary allow-ing to continue the relations with expanded families outside the mixed family; development of policy of respect and trust for all family members; adoption of differences in development of each member and decrease in their level of expectations.
