The article is devoted to the social and philosophical understanding of loneliness as a phenomenon of heterogeneous everyday life. Along with other events, loneliness contrasts with its calm flow and is understood as a natural test stage of everyday life, as a challenge to the individual, which makes human life full. In the course of comparative analysis of philosophical approaches, the author concretizes essential distinctions of experience of loneliness, solitude, uniqueness. The relationship between loneliness and solitude is analyzed, and the philosophical understanding of the phenomenon of loneliness is specified. The author comes to the conclusion that the person knowingly receiving the loneliness gets to use it on your own. It can be solitude in its inner world in a public place or solitude in a situation of voluntary isolation. The transformation of conscious loneliness into the experience of uniqueness leads to the manifestation of its special modus, which separates a person, allowing him or her not to need close communication because of his or her self-sufficiency. Loneliness and solitude – different concepts, but inseparable. Loneliness is a state of mind consisting in the realization of one's own individuality, peculiarity, originality. Solitude is a natural consequence of loneliness, as an opportunity to belong entirely to yourself, the ability to protect, preserve and enhance your inner world, in order to further communicate themselves to the outside world.
