Pragmatic and semiotic structure of a marriage ritual

The paper deals with the pragmatic, semiotic, and structural aspects of a marriage ritual determined by its belonging to the rites of passage. The author reveals its origin and connection with a sacred marriage rite, analyzes concrete examples of different symbolic components of a marriage ritual, studies its discursive and relational framework.
