Traditional Altai eschatology

The article deals with the traditional ideas of the Altai people about the end of the world, expressed in signs that indicate the approaching end of time: the emergence and spread of new objects, phenomena, technology; people retreat from traditions; natural disasters, epidemics, environmental disasters; war. Signs act as an antithesis of peace, good, justice, pushing the new and the old in the life of society. Myths associated with the end of time are well preserved in the Altai culture and continue to exist in our days.
