Psychological characteristics of personality self-actualization of youth of South Ossetia

The article presents the results of a study on the project "Socio-psychological adaptation of South Ossetian youth: current state and development trends". The theoretical basis of the study was the theory of self-actualization of the personality of Maslow and his pupil E. L. Shostrom. It is shown that the self - actualization of the person in the concept Of E. L. Shostrom, in contrast to the concept of "Maslow", is considered not so much in the aspect of psychological health, as in the aspect of opposition to the manipulator-actualizer". At the same time, both researchers attributed the psychological difficulties of self-actualization to the influence exerted on it by social norms and stereotypes. To study the psychological characteristics of personal self-actualization of South Ossetian youth the questionnaire "SAMOAL" (N.F. Kalina, A.V. Lazukin), which is one of the variants of the Russian-language adaptation of the personal questionnaire POI (personal Orientation Inventory) by E.L. Shostrom. Correlation analysis of the data obtained in the study showed that they are two correlation Pleiades of different density and volume. Factor analysis of empirical data revealed five factors of self-actualization of South Ossetian youth: "Orientation in time", "Humanistic attitude to being", "Creative cognition of being", "self-Confidence", "Predisposition to authentic contacts with others". The structure of factors of personal self-actualization of South Ossetian youth revealed in research allows to consider that young people are focused on progressive type of social and psychological adaptation.
