The specific features of character profile of the personality with alcohol dependency

The article describes the character profile of personality with formed alcohol dependency. The profile has been configured on the basis of the data obtained with the help of the author’s dispositional reactions questionnaire. In the present article, we provide the comparison between the character profile of the personality of an addict and the personality of individuals that do not suffer from alcohol abuse. Differences in the profiles are analyzed from the viewpoint of specific features and mechanisms of formation of particular positions in relationships, as mediators of alcohol dependency. Rational grounds are given to prove the statement that combination of certain manifested reaction positions forms a specific psychotype of personality prone to alcohol dependency. The obtained data allow to establish a more comprehensive concept of the ways of formation and enforcement of the character of alcohol-dependent personality.
